Artur Bayramgalin – Journey To The Sol

JourneyLemon Jazz Records, part of Lemongrassmusic, presents the new album by composer & producer Artur Bayramgalin. All the compositions on this 5 track EP are united by one key: G major, hence the name of the EP ‘Journey To The Sol’, as the note “G” is also known as “sol” or “solis” which means “sun means in Latin.

Despite being released earlier in recent years, all the compositions on this album are now united by a new concept and sound. Evgeny Romanov has contributed a good portion of innovation by adding playful clarinet phrases and licks to every track.

Stylistically, the album can be attributed as world music or contemporary jazz. The main instruments are guitars, piano and clarinet, but each song also has a lot of percussion with the addition of drums and bass guitar. Each track has a unique ethnic coloring, where you can experience Scandinavian, Brazilian, African and Japanese motifs.

Artur Baramgalin – My Seasons

a2810209690_16Summer, fall, winter, spring… For others it’s just the seasons, but producer Artur Bayramgalin, living in the city Ufa, regards the circuits of the years in a broader sense. After all, every season is a special time! In spring we wait for the first snowdrops and the renewal of nature with all its different shades of green and breathtakingly beautiful and lush blossoms. Summer is a time of joy and carefree fun. Autumn is an explosion of colors and subtle light melancholy… And, of course, winter is the time of fairy tales and magic! Those who are able to feel and cherish these beauties live for real.

With his album „My Seasons“ Artur Bayramgalin orchestrates the progression of the year in his very own way – accompanied by a number of highly skilled soloists this album is a true masterpiece of Lounge music with a touch of European and Asian folk and world music.

Artur Bayramgalin – Green Sapphire

Hailing from Ufa, Russia multi instrumentalist Artur Bayramgalin is still a secret tip in the smooth jazz genre. In view of the large number of new releases, foreign musicians find it difficult to improve their popularity significantly. His debut album Interro Island came out in 2009, his sophomore album Electric Breezz followed in 2010 and his third album Perfect Day in 2014.

In 2018 Artur was involved in a serious traffic accident. After recovery his main desire was starting writing music again. Now he returns with his new album Green Sapphire (2020), which is available on CDBaby.

Artur comments: “I had a dream, standing alone with my father on the bank of a deep stream. He wanted to give me the green crystal and said it was very important and should be protected. I accidentally dropped it in the stream, but managed to grab it and save it. When I woke up, I wrote the song Green Sapphire. And with this track, I finally started working on a new album.”

Artur Bayramgalin – Let’s Talk

Russian guitarist Artur Bayramgalin has already created some gems of smooth jazz. To mention are Interro Island (2009), Electric Breezz (2010), Perfect Day (2014), and My Seasons (2015). His new album Let’s Talk (2017) is just released on the freshly founded German Lemongrassmusic sub-label Lemon Jazz Records.

Artur is supported on his new album by Artur Gimaev (trumpet), Anton Buzz (sax), Leysan Saripova and Elvina Mustafina (vocals), and Rustem Karimov (percussion). The album lifts off with Let’s Talk, an intimate conversation between Artur and the trumpeter Artur Gimaev, breathing the melancholy of a summer afternoon.

Embedded in a Latin-inspired rhythm Artur celebrates the sound of his guitar on Intero featuring Anton Buzz on sax. Bayramgalin’s inner relaxed attitude gets its expression in his smooth-running guitar performance. With a swaying Samba beat he approaches the Tangerine Coast. The tangerine is an orange-colored citrus fruit that is closely related to, or possibly a type of, mandarin orange. The sweet fruitiness morphs into a rich harmonic declaration of lyrical independence.
