Yonathan Peled – Everything’s for the Best

xEverything_s-for-the-bestNew York-based trombonist, composer, arranger, and band leader Yonathan Peled has announced the upcoming release of his album Everything’s for the Best, set to release on September 22nd, 2023. The album features a collection of original compositions that reflect his journey as an artist, from his roots in Tel-Aviv to his experiences in New York City. He collaborates with world-class jazz musicians such as Omer Avital, Sam Yahel, Elam Friedlander, Julia Chen, Eviatar Slivnik, Yonatan Guedj, and many more.

Yonathan left his hometown Tel-Aviv to achieve his dream of performing internationally and sharing his love for music with as many people as he could. His love for New York’s energy and his longing for his hometown have created a constant conflict of identity, inspiring him to create music that celebrates the complex emotions of conflict, joy, and longing. The album features a collection of original compositions that reflect his journey as an artist, from his roots in Tel-Aviv to his experiences in New York City.

The album is also a product of Yonathan’s experiences during the pandemic where he became a part of the great community called Wilson Live, which inspired him to write his new original music. The positive response and energy he received from the audience inspired him to go to the studio and record his music. The last song of the show, Everything’s for the Best, created one of the greatest moments in his life where the audience stood up, danced, and sang to the music.

Papik Presents Sea Breeze – West Coast Rendevous

papikpresentsseabreezewestcoastrendezvousThe Roman musician, composer, arranger and producer Nerio “Papik” Poggi is featured here regularly, and is one of my favourites.

I was therefore very excited when I saw that he had realized a new project, and that is this Sea Breeze. The “yacht rock” from the west coast of the USA is central to this.

Papik helped write most of the songs, and also recorded some covers. The opener ‘Chains of our Love’ was sung by Filippo Perbellini, and immediately sets the tone for this beautiful album, which was released by the Italian label Irma Records Group.

Kait Dunton – Keyboards

362897802_6178404012258594_3275473460356463108_nKait Dunton is a Los Angeles-based keyboardist & composer. She exudes joy when she plays and her honest emotional expression invites her audience to be open and vulnerable right alongside her. Her radiant energy and musical storytelling have garnered her hundreds of thousands of followers on social media as well as a large listening audience on Spotify.

Starting with her first album, Real & Imagined – now a fan favorite with over three million streams – Kait has continued to cultivate her signature sound over many subsequent albums and releases, including her latest single featuring her evocative improvisational style – and with over 2.5M views on Instagram: “this one’s for you”.

Kait’s new album, Keyboards – with Sean Hurley on bass and Jake Reed on drums – celebrates the sounds, timbres and instruments of the 70s – especially the classic vintage keyboards like the Fender Rhodes, Hammond B3, Wurlitzer & Clavinet. This album also represents an evolution in Kait’s sound and style—a focus more on groove and interlocking rhythmic parts, and is a shift away from complex composition and arrangement prevalent in some of her past albums.
