Threestyle – Perfect Combination

perfectcombinationMunich based formation Threestyle is one of the admirable formations that have improved from one album to the next, ultimately reaching world level. Perfect Combination is the absolutely fitting title for their latest work, which will be released at the end of April 2021.

Saxophonist Magdalena Chovancova, guitarist Robert Fertl and drummer Gabriela Chovancova are Threestyle and invite brilliant singer Damon Dae, the amazing singer Latonya Black, the wonderful vocal trio DW3 and the great singer Tim Owens, who we already had the pleasure to  present in connection to many albums of guitarist U-Nam.

The album opens with Steppin’ Up with which our protagonists Magdalena and Robert rise to true greatness. A song always lives from the timbre of its performer. On Keep It Simple vocalist Damon Dae showcases his impressive voice in a beautiful setting.

Threestyle – Reasons 2 Love

Magdalena Chovancova (sax. flute), and Robert Fertl (guitar, bass, drum programming, keyboards) are the Munich based group Threestyle. The group already released Feel The Vibe (2012), Get It (2014), Road To Montery (2016) and Smooth Ride (2017) on the label Welovemusic Records.

Their new album is entitled Reasons 2 Love (2018). Guest musicians on this project are James L. Manning, Bryant Siono, Sekou Bunch, Cecil Thomas (bass), Jeffrey Freeman, Lew Laing, Bill Meyers (keyboards), Christopher Troy (keyboards and vocals), Latonya Black, Tim Owens (vocals), Gabriela Chovancoa, Munyungo Jackson (percussion), Paul Brown (guitar), Michael Ripoll (bass, rhythm guitar), Frank Josephs, DeYou Dobsons (drums).

Magdalena Chovancova (sax. flute), Robert Fertl (guitar, bass, drum programming, keyboards), and Gabriela Chovancova (drums and vibraphone) are the Munich based group Threestyle. Their breeding ground for artistic production is the label Welovemusic Records. In the smooth jazz section the group already released Feel The Vibe (2012), Get It (2014) and Road To Montery (2016).

On their newest project Smooth Ride (2017) they are joined by a stellar compilation of top notch musicians. Among them are Lew Laing, Paul Brown, Nils, Jeff Carruthers, Robert Vally and many more.

The album starts with A Little Longer, which the same time also represents their first single. Cuddly and lithe is the sound of Magdalena’s saxophone embedded in Paul Brown’s smooth arrangement of the highest level. Smoothjazz.com broadcasts live from Monterey, California. Threestyle – Thank God It’s Christmas

Hailing from Germany and the Czech Republic the group Threestyle featuring Magdalena Chovancova (sax), Robert Fertl (guitars, bass trumpet, flugelhorn) and Gabriela Chovancova (drums and vibraphone) are known for their styles smooth jazz, chill and lounge.

Approaching Christmas time they now add a new style to their roaster, holiday jazz. Some of you will know this title by the famous rock group Queen. Although in the charts the group didn’t produce a video and also didn’t release the song as part of an album.

The new single by Threestyle offers three cover versions. The first tune features Magdalena Chovancova on sax in the lead. She puts herself soulful in the basic idea of the song. Overall the rendition is well arranged with a great respect to the original.

Threestyle – Get It

Hailing from Germany and the Czech Republic the group Threestyle featuring Magdalena Chovancova (sax), Robert Fertl (guitars, bass trumpet, flugelhorn) and Gabriela Chovancova (drums and vibraphone) delivers constantly new releases.

In 2012 they showed with Feel The Vibe good approaches. Saxophonist Magdalena Chovancova has gone with Moving Up Quickly her own way apart fashionable trends of smooth jazz. By a plurality of performances in Germany and America the band has raised awareness of the smooth jazz community.

Their newest project is entitled Get It (2014). Beside the members of the group guest musicians such as Paul Brown, James L. Manning, Walter Barnes, Jeffrey Freeman, Mike Shapiro, Michael Ripoll, Tony Jeryek, Katja Riekermann and DeZon Dobson helped to shape the sound.

Smooth Jazz from Germany? Probably you remember groups such as Dancing Fantasy, Freeze Frame and Blue Knights. Now this country offers an alternative with Threestyle. A group from Bavaria featuring Magdalena Chovancova (sax), Robert Fertl (guitars, bass trumpet, flugelhorn) and Gabriela Chovancova (drums and vibraphone).

A short visit on their label Welovemusic Records reveals a numerous list of releases. So this formation comprises of experienced professionals. The introducing piece Chilling Mr. Benson is a banquet for all lovers of the music of George Benson. When Fertl leaves space for his guitar playing, it comes to the right feeling.

Nice To Be There makes for serene mood with relaxing music. Stratospheric Flight helps to pending exemption with graceful inconspicuousness. The title Now promises a great leap. But it drifts more towards Lounge. You Made It would I like to say. Unfortunately not the resounding melody.
