Frank Sutton – Rain The Experience

Truly remarkable and a musical genius of sorts, is what you can call this talented and gifted musician, producer. Frank Sutton got his start in music at the early age of six, where his first musical passion was realized and expressed through the drums. At the age of 8 he was accepted to the Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts, ironically as an art major. It wasn’t long before the director of music realized Frank had a rare talent and he double majored in both music and art. As his gift continued to come into fruition, he began to solely pursue music. By age sixteen he had already recorded on album projects with various local Jazz and Gospel Artist.

Although his main instrument of choice is the piano/keyboard, this gifted musician is truly a jack of all trades and plays bass, drums/percussion and Trombone. He’s also at home in the studio, behind the console writing or producing for various artists as well as himself. Because of his unique ability, Frank has toured, recorded, and worked with some of the music industry’s biggest names in both the Jazz and gospel genre’s.
He’s Served as Music Director for various Artists, and is a sought after session/touring musician, in addition to hosting various clinics, and establishing a mentorship program for blossoming musicians. We anticipate great things from this talented musician and artist.

His new album Rain The Experience is blending elements of smooth and fusion jazz, a hint of funk, soul, and gospel music. Charles Jones – Sunday Evening Jazz

Charles Jones is a church musician who plays organ, piano and drums. Church is where he got his start. When you add Jazz to his Gospel roots there is an explosion of sounds that come to your soul that make you feel warm on the inside. Earl Carter – Silky

Washington DC based jazz guitarist and bassist Earl Carter has worked with an overwhelming amount of musicians such as Marcus Johnson, Alyson Williams, Bobby Lyle, Freddie Jackson, Angela Bofill, Regina Belle, Marion Meadows, Michael Lington, Jackiem Joyner, and more.

His solo projects are No Frettin’ (2002), 495 (2005), My Paradise (2007), Project X (2009), Old School (2011), Welcome Back Carter (2013), and Simplicity (2014). In 2011 he released the EP’s Yeah Mon and Summertime. My Life … ln Your Hands, a Christian Contemporary album, was released in 2015. His newest project Silky is now available.

Ray Obiedo – Carousel

The ninth release by Bay Area guitarist/composer Ray Obiedo, Carousel on Rhythmus Records, is another collection of original compositions fused with Contemporary Jazz, Latin and Brasilian-styled rhythms. His eclectic groove-oriented compositions never stray far from his love of R&B. The melodies are simply stated, and gracefully glide over jazz influenced chord structures. Obiedo enlisted some of the music industries top musicians and longtime cohorts for the project.

Santana members David K. Mathews and Karl Perazzo contribute their expertise. Percussionist Peter Michael Escovedo, steel pan master Andy Narell and Tower of Power drummer Dave Garibaldi all make appearances. Harmonica master Toots Thielemans is featured on “Song for Jules”. Yellowjacket’s saxophonist Bob Mintzer appears on two tracks, “Jinx” and “Modern World”. Carousel also features reed player Norbert Stachel, steel pan player Phil Hawkins, pianist Peter Horvath and trumpeter Mike Olmos. Obiedo has 5 previous releases on the Windham Hill Jazz label. This is his third release on his own Oakland-based Rhythmus Records label. The music on “Carousel” is a highly energized and hypnotically rhythmic soundscape, revealing all the passion, flavor, color and style of the San Francisco Bay Area which conceived, nourished and inspired Obiedo’s latest musical venture.

Urbanity – Urbanity

Guitarist/composer Albare was the pioneer of the ‘acid jazz’ genre in Australia in the late 1980s. He has continued to record and perform at home and abroad. Pianist/keyboardist Phil Turco has been a frequent collaborator with Albare for more than 20 year. Together they created Urbanity in 2016. This recording features original compositions by both Albare and Turco, in addition to their instrumental arrangement of the Eagles’ “Desperado.’ They are joined by vocalist Bernard Fowler and saxophonist Tim Ries as guest on one track.

Rocco Ventrella – Colors

Bari, Italy born saxophonist Rocco Ventrella has meanwhile conquered a firm place in the smooth jazz scene, which he has achieved with skill and perseverance. He found his entrance with the homage Tribute To Grover Washington, Jr. (2005), followed by Give Me The Groove (2007), Sweet Temptation (2013) and Another Time (2015). With Keep In Touch (2018) he sets a new musical sign of life.

With his new EP Colors (2019) he offers soulful and funky ballads, bluesy jazz fusion and a blues-rock flavored cover of a Bob Dylan classic. Beside guest bassists Roberto Vally and Darryl Williams, the collection also present the vocal talent of Emanuel “Ghani”.

David Benoit – David Benoit And Friends

Pianist and composer David Benoit has dedicated his new album David Benoit and Friends(2019) to his fellow musicians. Collaborations with other musicians are nothing new for David. Legendary is his partnership with Russ Freeman, which includes the albums The Benoit/Freeman Project (1994) and The Benoit/Freeman Project 2 (2004). David Benoit and Jane Monheit teamed up for 2 in Love (2015). Guitarist Marc Antoine and pianist David Benoit were the surprise packet of the year 2017 with So Nice!

On his new album David Benoit invites Peter White, Marc Antoine (acoustic guitar), Tim Weisberg (flute), Lindsey Webster (vocals), Dave Koz (alto sax), Rick Braun (trumpet), Vincent Ingala (soprano sax), Justin Cheung (cello). The rhythm section encompasses David Benoit (piano, Fender Rhodes, Hammond B3), JR Robinson (drums), Ken Wild (electric and acoustic bass), Luis Conte (percussion), Pat Kelly (guitar), the horn section Mike Cottone and Jamey Havorka (trumpet), Erm Navarro (trombone).

Jane Hawk is a novel character by the American author Dean Koontz, which he has portrayed in a series of 5 books. With a cinematic orchestration David sketches on Ballad of Jane Hawk his imagination supported by Peter White on the acoustic guitar and Tim Weisberg on the flute.

JWhite – Fearless

Every artist ever to hit the Billboard chart has stories of struggle, heartbreak, challenges, frustration, doubt and thoughts of giving up on a career as a recording artist. Soul-jazz saxophonist JWhite, a newcomer to the Billboard Top 20 with the summer single, “Driven,” is no different. After some reflection, he decided to pursue his dreams fearlessly, inspiring the title to his third collection, “Fearless,” which drops September 13.

“I have overcome so many obstacles and setbacks. I’ve thought about giving up many times. I’ve come across many other artists who have the same challenges and discouraging moments. However, I decided that I was going to ignore it all and choose to be fearless in my pursuit. No excuses. No public complaining. Just play hard, play with passion every single time and let God do the rest,” said JWhite, a Detroit native who resides in Phoenix.
