Acoustic Alchemy – Roseland

Contemporary jazz supergroup Acoustic Alchemy – Greg Carmichael, nylon string guitar; Miles Gilderdale, steel acoustic guitar & electric guitar; Fred White, piano; Greg Grainger , drums; Gary Grainger, bass – returns to the scene with Roseland, their first release in four years. While retaining Acoustic Alchemy’s signature guitar sound, Roseland pushes the group’s musical boundaries by incorporating rock, reggae, folk, and jazz influences. Aside from the group’s core touring band, special guests include Ricky Peterson (Bonnie Raitt), Snake Davis, and Fayyaz Virji (Art Blakey/Basia/Incognito).

As Acoustic Alchemy’s first self-produced album, Roseland is described by the group as “a real musical journey.” The project features 13 original compositions and was recorded in Miles Gilderdale’s home studio in York, England, where the group had complete freedom to flex its musical creativity. Roseland was mastered by John Astley (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Sex Pistols).
