Brian Dring – Subliminal Criminal

Moving to Connecticut USA at 23, Montreal native Brian Dring played with a variety of bands and studied with smooth jazz pianist Chris Geith who was living in CT at that time. “Studying with Chris inspired me to write songs in the jazz vein, but adding my own experience of playing not only with jazz groups but also R&B, salsa, and reggae bands.”

Subliminal Criminal is his new album featuring touches of Latin jazz, smooth jazz, reggae and acid jazz. “I always keep Montreal in my heart me because I was exposed to a lot of different styles there,” he says. It was at this time that he met the vocalists who would contribute their considerable talents to the vocal tracks on this album.
