James ‘PJ’ Spraggins – Up From Here

227564993_3984288111670206_7616334490470056556_nDrummer/producer James ‘PJ’ Spraggins has released his third studio album “Time to Heal” in 2019. PJ started writing music for Time to Heal while he and his wife were on the mend from Kidney transplant surgery that took place in early late February 2015. PJ’s wife, Tracy (aka Sweet Nita), was in need of a kidney and PJ was a perfect match to donate to her. “Time to Heal” is comprised of songs mostly written and produced by PJ during his “Downtime” as he took “Time to Heal” appropriately from the surgery.

Two years later he returns with Up From Here featuring Sean Michael Ray (bass), Greg Manning (piano, aux keys), Eric Essix (guitar), James ‘PJ’ Spraggins (drums, aux keys, programming), Cameron Sankey (piano, aux keys), Theo Gkoutsidis (guitar), and Melvin Butler (saxophone). Up From Here is a new two song release by Birmingham Alabama based drummer/writer/producer, James ‘PJ’ Spraggins. While holding down the drum chair for several chart topping jazz artists (most notable Kim Scott), PJ has continued to release original music to add to his growing catalogue.
