Jon Lawson – Cruisin’

Jon Lawson is a tenor, soprano, and alto saxophonist as well as an avid composer and arranger. He has performed in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South and Central America and the Caribbean. Jon has prides himself and focuses on the styles of Smooth Jazz, R&B, Funk, Gospel, and Praise music. For the past several years, he has been leading the band Jon Lawson and The Groove. Jon regularly performs with Boston-based band Gimme 5 throughout the New England Region. Prior to JL & The Groove, Jon led the group 3 AM Groove. Jon also regularly composes, arranges, records, and produces music.

In 2017, Jon graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Music degree. He was a Professional Music major with specialized focuses in composition, performance, and music business. Jon is also an experienced composer, publishing many songs across a vast realm of genres and styles. His styles include Smooth Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Orchestral music. In 2017, Jon finished composing his first full orchestral symphony. Currently, he is in the process of publishing his symphony.

As a recording artist, Jon has produced two full length albums, one with Shine Gospel and one with 3 AM Groove. He has currently produced his first solo smooth jazz album. Cruisin’ is a funky and smooth blend with soulful saxophone perfect for Cruisin’.
