Patrick Lamb – Soul Ties

Saxophonist, vocalist and songwriter Patrick Lamb, who spent most of last year on tours playing back-up for Jazz & R&B greats Bobby Caldwell, Diane Schuur and Gino Vannelli, has stepped out on his own to release his own solo project Soul of a Free Man (2007) –a title that appropriately describes Patrick’s journey to find his own musical voice and the remarkable collaborations with his co-writer’s.

His first one was With A Christmas Heart (2002). Holiday Bossa Nova, Soulful Jazz, featuring the combination of the tenor sax, accoustic guitar, keyboards, drums, and a few vocals boasting the the sounds of an old school Blue Note, or Verve release. The next was Sunshine Alley (2002). Blues, funky, soulful jazz, featuring the combination of the tenor sax and organ boasting the sounds of an old Blue Note album.

His brand new one is Soul Ties, which is distributed on Patrick’s concerts before it goes national.
