Cornell Thigpen – See The Song

SeeTheSongKeyboard player, organ player, music producer and music director Cornell Thigpen‘s credits include working with legendary artists such as Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Kenneth (BabyFace) Edmonds, Stevie Nicks, Patti Labelle, BeBe and CeCe Winans and many others. Cornell’s extensive music career includes tours worldwide, as well as appearances on shows and events such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, The View, PBS, and The Chicago Bulls Championship parade.

Besides accompanying an array of music legends, Cornell Thigpen is a musical genius in his own right. In 2013, Cornell produced his debut project, Brothers and Songs, in which he brought together some of the industry’s most talented musicians such as Teddy Campbell, Bobby Sparks, Calvin Rodgers, Sharay Reed, Jonathan DuBose Jr., Eric Ingram, Carlton Whitfield, Daniel Weatherspoon, Michael Manson, Lil Tony, Phillip Feaster, Rex Hardy Jr., Rick Watford, Rodney East, Tim Stewart and Wendell Lowe.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Cornell grew up in a community of great singers and musicians. At the age of 8, he became determined to pursue a career as a professional musician, after he was invited to be the featured musician for his school’s program. He later progressed to becoming the musical director and composer for his church band, and then to producing, composing, and arranging music for many artists abroad. From that time forward, Cornell has been busy playing live concerts, as well as recordings with top artists and musicians. He has gained a well-earned reputation for excellence, as well as the respect of the music industry for being one of the most creative musicians in the world.
