Kay-Ta – Arrival
Osaka, Japan born guitarist Kay-Ta graduated at Berklee College of Music before he became a session guitarist in Los Angeles. He performed with great artists of the international music scene. In the smooth jazz genre he performed with Jackiem Joyner, Elan Trotman, Keiko Matsui and many more.
Kay-Ta is also member of the group Quatrosound with Leah Zegar (violin), Giovanni Clayton (cello) and Jorge Villanueva (percussion). This band joined him on the recordings and in addition Greg Manning, Jonathan Fritzen and Nicholas Cole (keys), Darryl Williams (bass), Maurice Ellis (acoustic bass), Steven J. Robinson (drums), Ilya Serov (trumpet) and Jackiem Joyner (sax).
Kay-Ta first created the album as demo project to show the audience during the fund-raising process how the album would be develop with the invested money. With the exception of two covers he has written and arranged all songs. Apart other guitar players his intention was to capture the feelings and not just showcasing his skills.
