Paul Jackson Jr. – Stories From Stompin’ Willie

13501843_943163785782669_6474450941656913255_nThis contemporary jazz project grew out of the many musical relationships Paul Jackson Jr. has been blessed to have over many years, specifically, his great friendship with the one and only George Duke. George gave him the nickname “Stompin’ Willie”.

This project features many old friends like Jeff Lorber, Jimmy Haslip, Karen Briggs, Michael Lington, Tom Schott, Ndugu Chancelor, Byron Miller, and John Beasley. Not to forget his longtime “boss” Patrice Rushen, and the entire Rickey Minor Band of American Idol and Tonight Show fame. Also helping on the project are new friends like violin sensation Nicole Neely and recoding engineers, Erik Zobler, who has worked with George Duke for over two decades and Craig Burbidge, who mixed his first #1 radio single “It’s a Shame”. Paul comments: “I hope you enjoy listening to this music as much I enjoyed making it. Lord Bless You Real Good!”

Stories From Stompin’ Willie is available at CDBaby.
