Tim Mackey – Smile For Me

Tim Mackey is a multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist who literally “defines” the term one man band. He self produces all his albums and has the ability to record all the tracks and instruments himself. He is most known for his incredible talent as a guitarist, but out of necessity, has trained himself to perform on a variety of other instruments (violin, banjo, bass, mandolin, drums, etc) at an equally impressive level. This allows him to play all of what you hear on his albums himself and have total control over arrangements and production details. Tim also does all of the studio recording, mixing and mastering work as well.

If you like smooth jazz. . . you will love Tim’s latest release entitled Smile For Me. This is Tim’s first ever album of all-original material. After a year of writing, arranging and recording; the result is some of the best smooth — easy listening instrumental jazz featuring several types of guitars and electric violin that you will find anywhere. The style of these  instrumentals is very much influenced by Tim’s de facto mentors; George Benson, Earl Klugh and Larry Carlton.
